Our church tradition takes marriages, same-sex blessings, and wedding blessings very seriously indeed. Making a commitment to live with one another for life in loving relationship is one of the most important decisions anyone can make and so any service which celebrates this must be one which speaks truthfully about the couple's own genuine faith and hopes.

Consequently, every marriage conducted here is one which is born out of a respectful dialogue between all the parties involved in which we begin to find out how we can be mutually supportive of each other's faiths and values. Genuine freedom of thought and belief - a key thing for this community - can only maintained when this kind of meeting and dialogue happens.

If you are thinking about getting married in this church it is, therefore, important to come along to a couple of services and to see whether we really are the kind of people - and I'm the kind of minister - whose church you would be happy to marry in and be 'blessed' by. This is not to persuade you to adopt our own philosophical/theological position but simply because it is the best opportunity to introduce you to the basic attitude/vibe of the place and the values of this liberal religious community.

As to cost. At present we charge £150 for the church, £150 for the administration and preparation of the service and, lastly, if you wish to have an organist, it's a £150 for them too. The fees are always waived for church members and we only make a charge to people who approach us from outside because we are an independent church and without donations and fees we simply wouldn't be able to survive to be here for other couples in the years to come.

If this seems to suit you then please give me a ring and we can arrange to meet and talk further.
